We are looking for a forward-thinking and passionate Head of English to lead our department in delivering high-quality language education aligned with the CBSE curriculum. The successful candidate will possess deep subject expertise, a clear vision for progressive teaching and learning, and a proven record of leadership in Indian curriculum schools within the UAE.This is a key leadership role focused on academic excellence, teacher development, and creating a dynamic language-learning environment that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and communication.Key Responsibilities:Provide visionary leadership and effective management of the English Department across all middle and senior school grades.Design and implement a robust CBSE-aligned English curriculum, incorporating best practices in pedagogy and assessment.Mentor and guide a team of English educators, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.Monitor student progress through data-driven assessments, and ensure targeted academic interventions where needed.Lead internal department reviews, classroom observations, lesson planning, and ongoing professional development.Develop students’ language proficiency through innovative classroom strategies, reading programs, and literary events.Coordinate inter-house and inter-school English activities: debates, elocution, creative writing, etc.Collaborate with school leadership on whole-school literacy initiatives and curriculum integration.Maintain full compliance with UAE educational regulations and documentation standards.Eligibility Criteria:Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in English/Literature or a related fieldB.Ed. is mandatoryExperience:Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a CBSE school in the UAEDemonstrated success in leading academic teams and enhancing student achievementSkills & Competencies:Expertise in curriculum planning, formative assessments, and CBSE board preparationStrong leadership and team-building skillsExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishExperience with literacy programs, blended learning, and edtech toolsThorough understanding of UAE Ministry of Education compliance and attestation processes
