Group Head ? Finance & Investments - Aldar Education - (2200007Q)DescriptionAldar Education is currently seeking a Group Head ? Finance & Investments to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our Team supporting our British, US and IB curricula network of schools.The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.Job PurposeThe Group Head - Finance & Investments is responsible for managing the group?s financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, and investment teams. This includes leading the budgeting and 5-year business plan process, ensuring effective capital allocation decision making as well as enabling and executing on value accretive investment opportunities to the business.To embody the values, vision and ethos of Aldar Education and support the Chief Financial Officer in financial and investment strategy ensuring effective decision making and best in industry deliverables within the finance and investment team.Capital Allocation and Monitoring:

• Developed capital allocation framework to drive investment decisions that will play a key role in achieving the objective of maximizing shareholder wealth (value accretive) by effectively allocating capital to various investment opportunities.
• Manage the Capital monitoring process and periodically review the equity return analysis.
• Establish and periodically review group return hurdles and cost of capital.

Business Plan & Forecasting:

• Oversee and lead the preparation and overall management of the 5-year Corporate Business Plan & Forecasting, ensure alignment with all business functions.
• Oversee and lead the implementation of the budget process, ensure robust planning and growth in EBITDA.
• Oversee quarterly/half-yearly re-forecast exercise to ensure financial performance is on track.

Investment Process

• Review the investment proposals for Investment Committee, conduct financial due diligence and prepare summary presentations for review, manage the investment committee, and ensure alignment with divisional targets.
• Lead external Financial due diligence, commercial due diligence, and legal due diligence teams for completion of M&A transactions

• Oversee deal pricing and pricing mechanics, transactional documents including sale and purchase agreement, and financial indemnities and warranties
• Lead structure negotiation and documentation of land and property leases for Greenfield/Brownfield transactions
• Lead in negotiation of regional geographic expansion and related documentation with external parties

• Develop greenfield feasibility studies in line with industry standards for various operating models and target market.
• Provide leadership and best in class decision making and process for the group investment committee process.

Capital Structuring and Debt Strategy

• Maintain efficient capital structure strategy for Aldar Education and lead discussions with banks to establish external funding lines
• Oversee the relationship with banks and financial institutions on corporate and project funding arrangements and ongoing information and compliance requirements.
• Oversee the execution process when executing any drawdowns, (pre)payments relating to existing debt facilities.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors (BA) in accounting/ finance related subject; and
• Professional financial qualification e.g., MBA, CMA, CFA, CPA etc. is required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 12 years corporate finance, investment analysis and developing comprehensive business plans & forecasting.
