?Establish, implement and recommend new or enhanced strategies, polices and business plans to the CEO in line with the Group overall directions.?Identify, evaluate, prepare strategic plans, negotiate and manage business opportunities for ., new projects, consulting engagements, partnerships, alliances, mergers/acquisitions, in order to contribute to the organisations short term and long term business goals and to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability to the Group.?Manage market research data/information and after detailed analysis and evaluation, make recommendations to senior management about the viability of alternate options?Establish long term professional and sustainable relationships with potential and existing clients/customers and partners to promote the interests of the Goup as a ?preferred contractor??Identify, set up and manage, when necessary, strategic alliances with local, regional and/or international consulting firms, highly-reputable international EPC companies, manufacturers, suppliers and principals in order to expand the Group?s capabilities, operations and services.?Lead meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the Group business interests?Carry out risk assessment analysis of business tie-up and update the Management of potentially risky ventures.?Refer leads and customer feedback within the Group and liaise with other functional and operational members to ensure that these referrals are followed up promptly?Ensure a MIS of all projects being pursued and build in a probability ratio by linking it to the stage of the negotiation and procurement process?Lead, direct and develop the business development function/team to ensure that all new projects are bid in a timely manner and all proposals have a zero defect in adherence to client requirements?Participate in developing a situation analysis of the Group including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to assist in the development of a strategic plan for the future of the business?Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; review with appropriate management staff; implement improvements.
