Job Description

Job SummaryAECOM currently has an opening for a Graphic Designer to join our award winning Building Engineering team, in our design studio in Abu Dhabi. This is an all-encompassing role that will entail working on marketing, internal communications, work winning documentation, packaging, conceptual design, presentations, large format design and smaller bespoke design such as infographics and short-run print collateral.Responsibilities:

  • Dissect complex information into aesthetically pleasing graphics that effectively communicate the intended message.
  • Support Design Team in the production of design narratives and presentations.
  • Prepare presentable illustrative diagrams as representation of Design Ideas, from provided design ideas/technical data, design narrative and with minimal guidance
  • Production of tenders and proposals with minimal guidance in collecting necessary documents and biding them in an adequate and logical order.
  • Prepare and constantly update design team?s portfolio.
  • Ability to to identify discrepancies in logic, flow or documentation
  • Understand narrative, context and while composing graphic documents to identify discrepancies in logic, flow or documentation composure and propose amendments.
  • Demonstrate innovation and strong visual problem-solving skills
  • Support design excellence & work winning through cutting edge design and creative support.
  • Demonstrate strong graphic design skills, design thinking approach and understanding and interpretation of pleasing aesthetics appropriate for design orientated company.
  • Ability to create illustrations from Design documents (such as coloure plans, elevations, transform sections into concept narrative diagrams, etc.)
  • Show collaborative and team-oriented spirit and capacity to understand Design, Marketing and Management / Corporate requirements to be transfer into graphic design solutions.
Minimum RequirementsThe candidate should show a proven portfolio of working across a diverse range of media and products from branding, marketing, bid and tenders, illustration to digital media design.The candidate will have strong commercial and corporate design experience. You will be fluent in the basic Creative Suite programmes such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Any other skills such as web design or motion graphics would be highly advantageous.You will be involved from initial client brief through to finished product ? so the candidate should have experience dealing with printers and creating print-ready artwork.Preferred QualificationsA range of experience of working at a graphic design level would be preferable to qualifications; however a degree or diploma in graphic design or fine arts is advantageous.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
