Job Description

As a Graphic Design Manager, you will have a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding with a natural eye for design across print and digital mediums. You will possess the drive to inspire dynamic ideas which connect with our audience. You will be working with a team of designers and videographers in close partnership with the editorial and marketing wings, working alongside the Creative Director to assist in overseeing the creative process and offering guidance to the design team.What youll be doing

  • Managing a team of designers, photographers and their deliverables, setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinating work activities with other supervisors/managers
  • Accepting accountability for the performance and results of the design team by setting employee performance objectives, conducting performance reviews
  • Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent
  • Providing input on resource planning and policy development
  • Providing technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
  • Designing new ideas for branded campaigns and marketing messages
  • Conducting brainstorming sessions with the team, maintaining our brand identity to develop innovative initiatives
  • Reviewing and assisting in art and copy development by the team
  • Producing fresh, innovative work that translates ideas into compelling visuals for our audience
  • Presenting, or overseeing presentation of final concepts
  • Analyzing trends, looking at new data and keeping up with the times
