Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently looking for a Graduate Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE

  • This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, Normal working time will be 45 hours per week.
  • Reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned engineering tasks
  • To carry out process discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities
  • To prepare process safery deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client?s policies and procedures.
  • To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
  • To promote safe behaviour at all times.
  • To carry out tasks as directed by the Lead / Senior Discipline Engineers
  • To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
  • To assist in the coordination of all activities related to process engineering design
Skills / Qualifications
  • MSc / BSc in Chemical Engineering
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of process safety engineering design and analysis
  • Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and self-reliant
  • Problem solver
  • Open analytic thinker and innovator
  • Good communicator with willingness to share knowledge andnsupport others
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
