Job Description

Role : General Ledger Control SupervisorLocation : Abu DhabiRole Purpose:Maintain and monitor the GL in a proper way and to advise the line Manager/Branches/Departments on any discrepancies and get it rectified in order to maintain an error free GL.Key Accountabilities of the role

  1. Monitoring of GL accounts on a daily basis and advising the various units/departments/Branches/ITD through ICD on any exceptions and discrepancies and to confirm the correctness in order to maintain the error free and balanced GL.
  1. Assisting in controlling of General ledger thereby sending instructions to the Branches with rectified entries if any error occurs.
  1. Creation of new GL?s, Classes on the basis of approved request from Branches/Departments.
  1. Coordination with ITD with regard to problem solutions and addition of new codes in system administration.
  1. To check Exception Reports Such as:
(Daily Problem, Negative Balance trial Balance, Sic Code reports,?..etc)
  1. Attending the queries from various Branches/units on various issues related to GL.
  1. Preparation of segment wise report of customer deposits/Financing on a weekly basis.
  1. Assisting in closing of books Quarterly/Half yearly/Annual.
  1. Preparation of daily balance sheet, Y statement and daily profit and loss reports.
  1. Preparation of daily Expense and Income Variances report.
  1. Assisting the RFO in closing the Murabbaha?s by sending the required entries.
  1. Any other job assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:Basic Accountancy knowledge and basic excel knowledge required.
