The General Accountant is responsible for managing the companys financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits.Key Responsibilities:Record and maintain accurate accounting entries for all financial transactions.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.Manage accounts payable and receivable.Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.Support internal and external audit processes.Maintain organized financial records and documentation.Monitor financial data for discrepancies and irregularities.Collaborate with other departments for financial reporting and analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally).Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.Good communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
