Job Description

About this role:

  • Ensure good execution of the Freight Forwarder used in regards of their contractual obligations
  • Coordinate import and export shipments services and deliveries on time of materials
  • Track and follow-up all shipping Import/Export operations from origin across the world, to delivery at company approved reception facilities
  • Supervise shipping operations, execution monitoring and follow up of all the related activity
  • Interface with logistics concerning pre-alerts (space allocation in view of free flowing of ship Disembarkation)
  • Coordinate Customs clearance process to improve time frame (Pre-Clearance)
  • Follow-up and resolve all damaged materials discrepancies due to transport operations
  • Confirm and follow-up the return of empty containers & control demurrage
  • Prepare shipping activity reports to be submitted to Transit team lead for validation
  • Prepare, scan and attach all necessary Import documentation into SAP in order to facilitate Logistics expeditions to Sites
  • Follow-up of the import licenses
  • Ensure Customs clearance, import/export activities compliance with Company Rules, Procedures and Instructions and applicable legislation
  • Analyze the performances of the freight forwarding service providers by KPIs to ensure these providers are in line with Affiliates rules and principles.
What you need to bring:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on Freight Forwarding activities for affiliate or HQ
  • Degree in Freight Forwarding Services
  • Problem Solving / Rigorous / Methodic / SAP MM module
  • English (required) & Arabic/French (Nice to have)
  • Experience within project: Not required but is an advantage
  • Professional experience in Iraq: Not required but is an advantage.
