Spa, and direct complimentary access to Wild Wadi Waterpark? for all guests, the hotel continues to redefine the holiday experience.About the Job:An opportunity has arisen foran Executive Pastry Chefto jointo join the F&B kitchen team.Executive Pastry Chefdirects and oversees the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen(s), including menu development, inventory and purchasing of supplies, and cost control. Tests and develops recipes & monitors customer satisfaction.The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• To ensure that all standard recipes, food presentation and correspondence are completed in liaison with the Executive Chef and EAM- Food and Beverage in an accurate and punctual manner.
• To develop menus and specials which meet the needs of the target market and are in line with the operating concept for the restaurants.
• To develop menus and set standard recipes (as per SOPs) which allow the Pastry and Bakery to run at an acceptable food cost, thereby satisfying guest needs and expectations.
• Monitors Pastry/Bakery standards within each Outlet and Banquets
• To ensure that operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimum breakage.
• To maximize colleague productivity and morale and consistently maintain discipline following hotel guidelines and local legislation.

• Assists in the building of an efficient team of colleagues by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training, and development.
• Identifies Market needs and trends in terms of food for both hotel guests and local market, and Monitors and analyses the menus and products of competitive restaurants.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

About you:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma in Hotel management
• Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least one year
• Clear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• 5 years minimum in five-star hotel as Pastry Chef
• Background in Pastry and Bakery
• Working with multi-cultural teams
• Competitor / best practice knowledge
• Menu compilation skills
• Computer and Microsoft Office skills
