The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. They analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine the necessary resources, materials, and timeframes, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.Key Responsibilities:Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.Collect and analyze data to estimate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather quotations and technical information.Assist in the development of bid proposals and submission of tenders.Conduct risk analysis and identify potential cost overruns.Maintain and update estimating databases and historical data for future projects.Support project teams during project execution by providing cost control and forecasting.Ensure estimates comply with company policies, standards, and client requirements.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.Proven experience as an Estimator in [industry sector].Strong understanding of construction/project management processes.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, CostX, etc.).Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
