Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently sourcing for Lead Maintenance Engineer (Spare Parts) to work on our PMC project in Abu Dhabi for 6 months assignment.Reports To: UK Maintenance Consultancy ManagerObjective:

  • Executing assigned scopes of work
Providing:
  • Consultancy services in material management and material master data
  • Operational and discipline specific technical expertise input to the business.
  • Leading Material Spares Engineer function in delivery of CMMS Materials Data Build
Responsbilities:
  • Execute assigned personal objectives with limited direct guidance and supervision
  • Under instruction from OMS UK Maintenance Consultancy Manager, delegate tasks to junior personnel
  • Undertake review of peer and junior personnel work in accordance with OMS Review and checking procedure
  • Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific OMS and client procedures in execution of work activities. Provide feedback for continuous improvement of procedures, if applicable
  • Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments
  • Provide discipline technical support to the wider OMS business
  • Provide discipline specific input to scope definition and execution for new project work scopes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring of junior position personnel directly assigned by OMS UK Maintenance Consultancy Manager
  • Clearly communicate any identified improvements to service execution to OMS UK Maintenance Consultancy Manager
Perfromance Indicators:
  • Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with applicable OMS or client Process and Procedures
  • Attain and sustain Senior Spare Parts Engineer competency
  • Agree and action personal ?My Success Plan? with OMS UK Maintenance Consultancy Manager
Communications & Working RelationshipsInternal:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the business, project, contract, and discipline interfaces
  • Networking and knowledge sharing
External:
  • Establishing and maintaining an awareness of external stakeholders including: Industry bodies, academia, vendors, clients, and other project management and CMMS professionals
Level of InfluenceAs delegated by OMS UK Maintenance Consultancy Manager and in accordance with Wood limits defined within the Delegation of AuthorityPlease note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.Skills / QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • BSc, B.Eng, HNC, HND or equivalent with industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline Or
  • NVQ or equivalent trade-based qualification with hands on industrial experience in applicable maintenance discipline
Minimum Experience:
  • Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance theory in a practical context
  • Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process
  • Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Good team working skills
Good written communication [technical report writing, proposals, technical papers].Competencies and Core Values & BehavioursGeneral
  • Adhere to Company Core Values and Ethics Policy.
Discipline Specific
  • Ability to create from first principles, technical strategies for managing materials master data
  • Identify requirement for new spare parts classification MM, BoM for new equipment items.
  • Populate ESPIR with required information
  • Undertake spare parts review to establish stock holding requirements for operational spare parts
  • Undertake critical spare parts review to optimise holding level for insurance spare parts
