Job Purpose Provide comprehensive environmental advisory services across dnata, in coordination with the Environment Manager, on matters including environmental regulations, compliance and best practice. Manage environment data collection and analysis, and maintain dnata?s environmental management system and associated policies, standards, and procedures and drive environmental initiatives as they relate to our operations and environmental policy and regulatory requirements. Job accountabilities - Provide specialist advice and analysis on matters related to international and local environmental regulations, compliance and best practice. Monitor and analyse environmental policy developments to determine the impact on dnata?s interests globally. - Manage environmental data collection, analyse the results in accordance with agreed methodologies, and prepare the data for publication as required. - Provide technical support to business units in particular in the areas of waste management, emissions reduction, energy efficiency and renewable energy. - Develop and deliver appropriate environmental training and awareness sessions to business units. - Draw on researched best practice and recommendations derived from environmental data to identify appropriate environmental initiatives in line with dnata?s operations, environmental public policies and regulatory requirements, and champion the implementation of such initiatives across dnata. - Manage short and medium term environmental projects ensuring they are implemented within the defined timescales and budget. Work co-operatively with other areas of the group and external parties to ensure related activities are well co-ordinated and appropriately focused in line with the project brief. Monitor on-site execution and present recommendations for environmental improvements or future development. - Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help achieve the above. - Keep up to date with sector specific regulations, standards and practices - Ensure improvement actions are implemented to requirements, monitored and continuously assessed - Communicate environmental requirements across the organisation. The day-to-day - Reviewing and assessing current environmental practices against current regulations and laws - Designing environmental management programmes and initiatives and supporting implementation in business units - Visiting sites (local and international) as part of continuous monitoring - Collecting and reporting on environmental monitoring data - Auditing environmental targets and managing environmental compliance - Keeping abreast of latest environmental guidance and regulations
