SUMMARYThe American University in the Emirates seeks an experienced English Trainer to join the team. The role is to provide AUE students with language development services to support their academic success. Also, to train students who are facing English language development challenges, support them with the needed to achieve their academic goals, and develop a close relationship intended to aid students in achieving educational, career, and personal goals using the full range of AUE institutional and community resources.Report to:Advising and Student Success ManagerQualifications & Experience+ Minimum of Masters Degree in TESOL/TEFL, Applied LinguisticsONLY.+ At least 2 years of experience in teaching English in a university setting is required.+ Experience in teaching IELTS/ TOEFL courses is preferred.+IELTS score minimum (8.0)+Native English is preferredSalary Package & Benefits:1-The Monthly Salary will be 12,000AED.2- Annual leave to the country of origin.3- Medical Insurance.4- Visa.5- Annual travel ticket allowance.Job Type:Full-timeDate of joining:Immediate+ Help students develop English language skills in the following ways namely, preparation for TOEFL and IELTS tests, and language development in beginner, intermediate, and advanced English development courses.+ Coordinate the development of academic literacy through the writing lab with both undergraduate and postgraduate students.+ Extend English language support to the students who met AUE language entry requirements but still struggling with their studies.+ Provide academic, personal advising, and counseling in terms of writing and communication development.+ Review, revise and enhance the English Language program curriculum, student?s assessment, and activities.+ Engage with lecturers concerning the academic writing of their students.+ Market and create awareness of the writing lab amongst students in the AUE.+ Support and engage with post-graduate masters? students to help improve their academic writing.ONLYshortlisted candidates will be contacted.Expected Work and DeliverablesThe candidate shall receive word documents and shall use design skills and convert them into InDesign format.
