Engineer - Civil (Substation)Apply nowKey responsibilities/Duties:

• Review/comment on Civil shop/design drawings, Vendor Materials and Equipment Submittals, ITPs and other design documents as submitted by various contractors and ensure their compliances with standard design requirements, contractual and technical requirements of particular authorities across GCC, suitable coordination with other disciplines and drawings submission schedules as per projects? execution schedules in field of electricity transmission and distribution substations and power plants.
• Participate coordination between clients (particular authorities across GCC) and contractors, as well as with various government and third-party authorities / stake holders related to project detailed design finalization, obtaining necessary permits and uninterrupted execution of projects.
• Participate weekly meetings and monthly meetings with contractors and clients and support project managers in execution of related PMC projects
• Attend site surveys and technical/workshop meetings with various contractors and clients whenever required in order to understand site conditions and identify/communicate design constrains and difficulties.
• Advise/notify concerned project managers of any slippage of project progresses related to design and design review activities against particular projects? execution schedules.
• Participate in reviewing Field Design Changes as submitted by various contractors and ensuring their compliances with standard design requirements, particular GCC authorities? requirements and projects? execution schedules.
• Technical support and assessment to Contracts Engineer and Cost Engineer of Trend. Notices, approved variations and claims (when raised by Contractors).
• Witness factory, pre-commissioning and commissioning tests related to civil systems of various plants across UAE according to plants? project execution schedules.
• Participate with PMC disciplines in reviewing the Close Out Report as submitted by contractors.
• Review As-Built drawings as submitted by contractors.
• Undertake review and approval coordination of technical specifications for various authorities across GCC
• Undertake/support tender documents preparation, technical and commercial evaluation of received bids for particular authorities across GCC in transmission and distribution field as Owner?s Engineer.
• Undertake/participate bid technical and commercial preparation, inner-disciplinary coordination, pre-bid and post-bid clarifications for various PMC projects across GCC.

Candidate Specification

• The Civil Substation Design Engineer should have an extensive experience in Detailed Design of transmission and distribution projects in GCC and experience tenders? management experience and capabilities (as above).
• Candidate with existing DEWA , FEWA(Etihad WE) and TRANSCO Approval will be preferred.
• Candidate shall be ready to be deployed to site . Candidate with existing DEWA , FEWA(Etihad WE) and TRANSCO Approval for site supervision will be preferred.
• Candidate shall be Familiar withsequence for substation design submission requirement and design inter-dependencies.
