Development Lead - Azure DevOps

Job Description

Our ClientCurrently hiring a Development Lead for a leading financial institution based in Abu Dhabi.Your responsibilities will include

• Optimize existing AZURE Devops as the key CI/CD pipeline to incorporate development stories in the pipeline as well as plan for incorporation of automation into the pipeline
• Provide leading and hand holding assistance to existing developers and devops application support where required
• Guide and lead developers both in house and 3rd party into adapting and following the devops scrum methodology for developing robust and secure code
• Ensure proper configuration of the software produced and traceability code versions with proper version control and central code repositories
• Participate in assisting test functions for execution and monitor of automated test scripts and quality assurance of code developed both in house and via 3rd parties ,
• Ensure correct structure of development environments lining up to the CI/CDpipeline methodology.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
• Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
• Designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements
• Directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications
• Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews
• Mentoring developers and ensuring they adhere to determining software quality standards
• Ability to work with business analysts into collecting requirements and writing user stories
• Ability to run own scrums and daily standups with in house and 3rd party development teams
• Ability and previous experience in running development teams under a feature team structure and using agile for prioritization frameworks
• Responsiblefor making sure development teams function efficiently.
• Familiar on implementing and maintaining DevSecOps secure code frameworks
• Ability to write technical documentation and formulate backlogs
• Ability to carry out retrospectives
• Ability to do code quality control for all the team before deployment to production
• Ability to work as QA and work with QA teams in house and 3rd party.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Information Security, or any related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology and with minimum 5 yrs of hands on experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure preferably) and solutions.
• Strong experience in Azure DevOps, ARM, PowerShell, Terraform and any of the configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef and Puppet
• Strong Knowledge in DevOps CI/CD Solutions.
• Expertise and knowledge in designing Continuous delivery system with one of the following tools - Jenkins/GoCD/Bamboo using Azure DevOps pipeline
• Work closely with application, engineering, security and operations teams to engineer and build Kubernetes and Azure PaaS & IaaS solutions within an agile and modern enterprise grade-operating model.
• Experience with JSE/JEE/J2EE
• Java development experience with a demonstrated track record of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
• Azure, Azure Devops certified, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kibana, JIRA, Confluence, visual studio, Graphana
• Experience with Github code repositories
• Experience with Cucumber, Jenkins, Selenium, RestAssured, Specflow, IntelliJ
• Intensive Experience in microservices.
