IT/DATABASE ADMINSTRATOR Imperial Knight has a history of engaged, productive employees, and we?re looking for a IT/Database administrator to continue that tradition. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in digital banking and database experience with excellent IT skills.The role:As a IT-Database Administrator (DBA) you will be responsible for the implementation, availability, performance and security of a digital banking database. You will also be involved in the planning and implementation of the new database and surrounding infrastructure. You will be responsible for administering and controlling the organization's data resources, to include , Microsoft SQL server databases. Responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining database environments; providing day to day management of production databases including monitoring, troubleshooting, backing up, restoring, change management, database upgrades and installation; providing database design, direction, and support to business users; performing research and support for customers and application developer; and assisting developers in schema changes to existing databases and optimizing modifications to existing database deployments.Join us if you can offer the following skills and experience:? RDBMS (PostgreSQL is strongly preferred);? SQL (CTEs, lateral and rollup queries are very welcomed);? Linux (basic administration, command line tools, scripting);? Monitoring (Zabbix is welcomed);? SQL tuning (EXPLAIN, workload analysis);? Data Modelling (Normalization, Keys, Indexes);? Digital Banking industry experience is preferred ? MSSQL 2012, 2016 experience? Experience with the following: SSIS /SSRS design and development? Knowledge of Windows Operating system , Power Shell, T-SQL, Python, JSON/REST API, and other automation/scripting languagesResponsibilities:? Write technical specifications for developers, translating partner needs to tangible product configuration? expert knowledge and advise on implementation of specific features (complex queries, DBMS-side automation, stored procedures)? proactive monitoring of the DBMS and related services? performance analysis of database ? SQL Tuning? feedback to the development on best ways to improve performance? operational support (tickets, ad-hoc user requests)? Manage responses to client requests such as completing IT questionnaires, developing process flow diagrams, and formulating architecture diagrams.? Programming highly-available software and innovative functionality.? Strong understanding of product development cycles.? Analyzing requirements and solutions to provide the best software experience.? Troubleshooting and issue resolution.? Strong understanding of Java server-side technologies.? Backups, implementation, monitoring, recovery testing for our digital banking applicationRequirements: Must be fluent in English? Bachelor's Degree - Business, MIS, or IT experience? 3-5 years experience in Microsoft SQL administration experience with medium to large databases, with emphasis on performance tuning and production support? Proficient with Microsoft SQL tools and utilities? SQL, and IT Operational/Enterprise Production support experience? Proficient in Microsoft computer applicationsLocation: Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq
