As the leader of a dedicated team being built out, you will be overall responsible for developing and evolving the strategy around Data and Privacy protection process management. You will be expected to drive constant innovation and adoption on the ground in a dynamic environment experiencing exciting hyper growth across geographies and verticals. As well as working across the organisation, you will also be responsible for making process decisions within the team and across the wider InfoSec and IT department.The individual will work closely with our IT, Infrastructure, Compliance and Engineering groups to help set up a secure and robust data security and privacy protection process around DLP, data classification, data leak remediation.   • Overall responsible for running the Data security processes with active engagement with the engineering team(s). Setup new as well as optimise existing processes as it relates to both enterprise and production data security controls.
  • Combine your knowledge and expertise in data security process management with the goals of our business to support and maintain a world-class program around data security and privacy protection to enable our secure continued growth.
  • Manage a team of Data Security Analysts, manage their backlog, build growth plans, responsible for team delivery.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure wider buy-in from the organisation
What youll need
  • You have a very good level of understanding of data security controls around enterprise as well as production data security.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing enterprise data security programmes and processes;
  • 3 years of experience managing a team of data security analysts;
  • Ability to work across IT, Infrastructure, Engineering, Info Security, Legal and Compliance teams on solutions that fit the need of, often competing, requirements.
  • Self-starter with a deep analytical mindset, owns the problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, innovative hyper-growth environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or a related field/experience is preferred.
  • You have a can do attitude and you are more proactive than reactive;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with implementing data security processes around data loss prevention, data leak protection and mitigation processes;
  • Working with regulatory authorities and law enforcement bodies around data access requests;
  • Proven ability to design for distributed, remote-first and cloud native workforce and enterprise systems
  • Organising and carrying out company wide programs related to data security and privacy protection campaigns.
  • Ability to challenge, steer, and implement the future vision and roadmap for enterprise and production data security.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across the organisation, gathering and translating requirements, communicating progress and managing priorities;
  • Proven expertise in working across the organisation in challenging environment, steering, and implementing future vision and roadmap for data security
  • Working closely with the Data security Engineering team, IT and other engineers in an agile setup.
  • Plus: Experience in working in a fast paced hyper-growth environment.
  • Plus: Experience working on data security for a cloud (AWS) based e-commerce environment
Where youll be
  • This role is part of a remote distributed team! This means you can be based in any of the countries where we currently have an engineering site. If you would like to join us in Dubai, Berlin, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon or Jordan, thats fine with us (Visa permitting)!
  • Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams.   • Youll be working in the location youre hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of the country youre hired from as your primary work location.
