Job Description

Commercial Manager|AFC|Dubai, UAE- UAE NationalOverview of the role

  • Assist the Commercial Director / Senior Commercial Manager for the Project wide commercial issues, supportuntilfinalcompletion of claims.
  • Manage large project / multiple projects in commercial related areas, lead the commercial team to execute thework in professional manner.
  • Cross functionally integrate with other departments (Project Management, Planning, Finance etc)
What you will do
  • Commercial Lead on the project
  • Provision of guidance and advice on valuation of work in progress and future projections.
  • Preparation of CLAW (Commercial, Legal and Administration Workbook) for the project
  • Contract Administration: Timely submittal of contractually compliant notices, interim particulars and detailed particulars.
  • Identify and agree the right delay analysis methodology with Planning team to ensure AFC entitlements are secured.
  • Lead the claims management process and prepare the claims
  • Identifying and communicating development and training needs of staff.
  • Providing staff with support and guidance on their job responsibilities.
  • Negotiating with client?s representatives, subcontractors (including nominated) and other consultants for contract amendments, variations, claims.
  • Advise on contractual implications of intended courses of action tp the Project team
  • Implementation and maintenance of cost control systems for demonstration to clients (where required) Provide contractual and commercial support to work winning
  • Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects.
  • Preparation of monthly contract review reports (Contract Appraisal)
  • Preparation and presentation of End of Life Forecast
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management reports (PRM)
  • Preparation of contractual and commercial input into Project Business Plan
  • Establish from Contract award the project ?budget to build?
  • Identify variations in liaison with other departments and implement variation control process and agreement with Engineer and Employer
  • Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement
  • Adopt appropriate measures for management of risk
  • Form an integral part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for project delivery and client service
  • Ensure that line manager is fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise and which could affect the business/project
- To assist the Commercial Director with the commercial and contractual aspects ofbusiness area to support operations and set strategies with objective ofminimising risks, maximising opportunities and avoiding disputes- Identify and calculation of appropriate risk and opportunity allowancesand their active managementSafety, Quality & Environment- Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFC- Continuous Improvement- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.
