Job Description

Classroom Assistant (Maternity Cover) - Al Budoor KG Charter School (for immediate start) - (220000F7)DescriptionAldar Education is currently seeking for an outstanding Classroom Assistant (Maternity Cover) for Al Budoor KG Charter School in Abu Dhabi for immediate start.The school provides high quality education and follows the American Common Core Curriculum (Massachusetts).The successful candidate will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities

  • Follow schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching and assessment with integration of various available resources and modes of instruction.
  • Support high expectations for students and implement assigned tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest;
  • Ensure that the National UAE culture, heritage and values are an integral part of the interaction with students.
  • Support students who require differentiated learning or who have other particular individual needs and liaise with the teacher and/or appropriate experts in the area for required support and advice.
  • Assist in the implementation of and supervise extra-curricular activities, and student excursions as requested.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff
  • Attend and participate in school-based, external meetings and professional development.
  • Create resources, copying, laminating, cutting etc. and assigned tasks by the teacher AFTER the students leave ? two afternoons per week.
  • Support the SLT in creating and maintaining displays in common areas.
  • Support the students during PE, Islamic and Arabic classes.
  • Supervise breaks and other classes in absence of peers as directed by SLT
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the SLT
Requirements
  • To have a minimum secondary school certificate.
  • Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
