Job Description

This position is responsible of the execution, coordination and providing support for activities associated with Digital Monitoring Tool (DMT) Program, Sales Practices Reviews (SPR), FATCA / Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and Branch Oversight Function (BOF) and other Risk and Controls related functions.The program that this role supports include but not limited to coordination of the DMT reports and Key Automated Application Controls (KAAC) execution, sales practices surveillance, facilitating CRS / FATCA implementation queries and clarification between business / in-country units and Corporate Tax Team, and monitoring of branch controls execution through remote testing and onsite branch visit.Job Responsibilities:DMT and KAAC Implementation

• Act as coordinator to ensure smooth deployment of Digital Monitoring Tools (DMT) reports and Key Automated Application Controls (KAAC) within the UAE Personal Banking and Wealth Management
• Coordinate with business / function owners the completion of validation of initial DMT reports basis the agreed rule logic prior to rollout in production
• Coordinate between Region DMT lead and business/process owner to dispose business validation comment and identify key refinement to reduce false exceptions
• Track and ensure timely business response submission, promptly escalate if there are any overdue in submission at county level
• Provide oversight on DMT disposition response and identify issues noted or unqualified input through business response
• Partnership with business to analyze on root cause of true exception and identify permanent solution in order to fix issue root causes.
• Preparation DMTs updates into data governance meeting highlight progress of DMTs implementation, rule deployment status, trend analysis on DMTs exceptions including progress of business remediation.
• Identify opportunities for digitization of monitoring through the use country specific DMTs that can help the respective function to monitor or prevent regulations breach.
• Coordinate with respective business / function / process owners the review of Key Automated Application Controls (KAAC) testing being performed by the Regional Unified Testing Team (UTT).To support special assignment on an ad hoc basis according to priority and perform other functions as assigned by supervisor/unit head.

In-country CRS / FATCA Facilitator

• Provides support to in-country teams on the execution of FATCA / CRS Regulation
• Facilitates the implementation of new FATCA/ CRS regulation as per the direction and guidance from the Global Corporate Tax Team, FRSS, and in-country compliance team
• Reviews and validate the responses provided by the Operations team on CRS/FATCA related DMTs and ensure that exceptions are escalated to appropriate escalation channels.

Sales Practices Review and Branch Oversight Function Execution

• Actively work with the Retail and Asset teams to review and ensure that potential Sales Practices are appropriately and adequately remediated on a timely basis
• Reviews and validate the results provided by Retail and Assets team on their review of the periodic / quarterly SPR DMT reports ensuring compliance with the SPR guidelines
• Core responsibility of BOF Reviewer is to ensure establishment and compliance with the required control and operating procedures in the branches and to monitor behavior and activities utilizing data produced and obtained from branch risk rankings, outliers and branch visits.
• Conducts onsite and remote reviews and monitoring to ensure that the branches and non-branch sales location / facilities are thoroughly reviewed and assessed for control gaps.
• Handles MCA for Retail Bank with drafting of suitable Process, Risk and Control architecture, coupled with optimum monitoring methodology.
• Provides training to branches, if required, on processes and procedures as laid down and validate adherence to the standards and practices established by the business in daily operations to meet the wider objective of branch governance.
