With an agile, innovative and entrepreneurial approach you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the global category strategy for Engines and Components so that long term value can be maximised and business needs can be continually delivered.As part of the Global Procurement Team you will be responsible for managing and developing 2 direct reports in the UK and USA to assist you in the execution of strategic and operational processes.As a Global Procurement Team we will strive to be a leader in our Industry and be recognised by internal and external stakeholders for being responsive, innovative, diligent and for delivering best value to Aggreko.With an annual turnover greater than 100m, Combustion Engines & Components are core technology for Aggreko and the growth in alternative fuels such as Hydrogen or HVO is critical in helping Aggreko deliver it?s transition to a greener energy future.We will influence and support the business through early consultation and effective Procurement processes to ensure effective business partnering.We?re Dynamic & Innovative. In an ever changing business you will be nimble in seizing opportunities to pioneer effective ways to meet and exceed your responsibilities which are as follows:

• Develop and implement the Category Strategy in line with the Source to Contract process and Procurement Handbook
• Provide expert knowledge of the supply markets relating to the category and lead activities that will optimise performance and value for money
• Develop a high performing team to support and deliver the category strategy, and support them with the execution of strategic and operational sourcing activities
• Create successful relationships with the Business Units and key stakeholders from the Product Management, Engineering, and Supplier Quality & Development teams, to ensure alignment with Procurement requirements and provide a point of escalation for supplier issues.
• Proactively manage supplier contracts and relationships to ensure performance over the life of products, and identify opportunities for growth, innovation and improved value that continue to meet or exceed business requirements. Report and Deliver savings targets in line with signed off category plans, and report and manage risks or opportunities to cost, quality or delivery as they arise

We?re Experts. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Solid experience in category strategy development in a multi business unit and global environment
• Knowledge of Engine or Powertrain technologies/ components, and key suppliers in either new product development or aftermarket environment
• Exceptional track record in supplier relationship management and successful delivery of negotiated settlements
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions

• Experience of contract drafting, including development of schedules, commercials, and appropriate terms and conditions
