Assist the school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the school?s improvement plan and self-evaluation form.? Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to school policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations.? Comply with the school?s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the principal.? Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of school improvement or performance management.? To work closely with the Director and Deputy Heads of Post 16 and the Head of Year 11 to design and lead on transition and the university application processes.? To work closely with the Deputy Head of Post 16 for University and Careers to co-manage the university application process.? To conduct student-focused, impartial, personal career guidance interviews which challenge and support students to make informed, realistic and adaptable career decisions.? To generate and maintain students records electronically in support of personal guidance interviews, including a summary of agreed actions/action plans.? To monitor individual student progress across subjects (using ALPS) in relation to their careers and aspirations.? To manage the varying administrative needs of the university application process including any specific entrance examinations (EMSAT, LNAT, BMAT, SATs, IELTS).? Always comply with the school?s staff dress code including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard.? Always comply with the school?s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).? Sign out and sign in at relevant school reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.? A teaching load in secondary as per requirements and needs of the school.? To undertake any additional responsibilities as delegated by the Line Manager, Head of School or Principal.Qualifications
