C-17 Electrical Field EngineerCompany:BAMEL - United Arab EmiratesJob ID:00000330734Date Posted:2022-07-22-07:00Location:ARE - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Qualifications:Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide on-site Field Engineering support to the United Arab Emirates Air Force in Abu Dhabi, UAEas an integral part of a multi-discipline team in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) contract.Successful candidates should expect to work flexible hours, a roster or shift including weekend work as appropriate to meet customer needs.Position Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve operational issues through the aircraft?s lifecycle
  • Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer
  • Develop and release interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness
  • Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions
  • Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
  • Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews
  • Coordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair / recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams
  • Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
  • Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers
  • Develop and implement product / process improvements
  • This is a technical position at a United Arab Emirates Air Forcebase requiring independence and technical acumen
  • Travel to other operating locations to assist with operation, maintenance, and recovery of aircraft may be required with MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC 429 data bus architecture.
  • Repair and troubleshoot aircraft electrical, electronic, and avionics systems
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years experience with aircraft sustainment or service engineering
  • 5+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Able to occasionally travel domestically, work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of customer-facing, or equivalent, experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience with C-17 aircraft
Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor/FAA A&P) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
