Transguard Group is the UAE’s most trusted business support and outsourcing provider and has a large, dynamic, and culturally diverse workforce with 50,000 employees!We are currently recruiting for a Buyer – Procurement to join our Supply Chain Management team in our HQ, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.Scope:The Buyer—Procurement is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that meet Transguard Groups standards for quality, cost, and delivery time.This role ensures that procurement activities align with the strategic goals of the organization.The buyer manages a specific procurement category and/or a certain business unit as directed by the line manager and implements cost-saving measures, thereby contributing to the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.FinancialNegotiate supplier contracts: secure favorable terms and pricing to achieve cost savings and value for moneyBudget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring expenditures align with financial plans and forecastsCost reduction initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for reducing costs without compromising quality Customer:Stakeholder collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement needs and expectationsSupplier relationship management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and servicesCustomer satisfaction: Ensure that all procurement activities contribute to the satisfaction of the internal customersProcess:Strategic procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and effectivenessCompliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirementsProcess improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance operational efficiencyProcess adherence: Lead pre-bid requirements and prepare and send invitations to tender, requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for quotations (RFQ) to vendors, e-sourcing, and e-auctions, along with preparing technical and commercial evaluationsOperational procurement: Responsible for contractual instruments, including purchase orders (POs), blanket purchase agreements (BPA), service maintenance agreements (SMA) and contracts with all required documents and information for management approvalProcesses followship: Lead pre-bid requirements and prepare and send invitations to tender, requests for proposal (RFP), and Requests for quotations (RFQ) to vendors, e-sourcing, and e-auctions, along with preparing technical and commercial evaluationsInnovation:Technology integration: utilize procurement technologies and automation tools to streamline procurement processesIndustry awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance procurement functionsInnovation initiatives: Propose and implement innovative ideas to improve procurement practices and outcomesSkills:Selection CriteriaBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related fieldThree years’ experience in a similar positionProven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in similar industryStrong negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze data and make informed decisionsProficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office SuiteDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsYou will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
