Job Description

Farah Business Continuity Management function?s objective is to ensure an effective Business Continuity Management (BCM) program fully aligned with EAA BCM Framework, NCEMA and international general accepted practices to support Farah.The Business Continuity Function at Farah ensures the design, implementation and sustainability of the BCM program so that Farah is appropriately prepared for, and can respond to unexpected disruptions of time critical assets and activities. Your job scope will also include the following:

  • Extend the business continuity management program for current or new assets under Farah.
  • Work along with the business continuity champions to ensure the implementation of the business continuity program.
  • Facilitate the training and awareness campaigns to develop competences and embed in Farah a resilient culture.
  • Facilitate the definition and implementation of testing and exercising plans to review the effectiveness of the current response and recovery plans.
  • Identify improvements opportunities to the BCM program.
  • Coordinate with EAA Business Continuity Function to ensure ongoing alignment between Farah and EAA BCM practices.
  • Report on regular basis to Farah senior management and EAA the status of the BCM Program.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the BCM Program to ensure it:
    • Remains current and updated
    • Covers NCEMA and EAA requirements
    • Includes latest general accepted practices
  • Serve as first point of contact during audits to the BCM Program.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:Essential:
  • Minimum: Bachelor?s degree in industrial engineering, computer science or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years? experience designing and implementing BCM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of international BCM standards promoted by BCI, DR and ISO as well local regulation such as NCEMA.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team player.
  • Highly developed relationship management, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Desirable:
  • Industry certification such as CBCP / MBCP, MBCI and ISO22301 or similar (audit and / or implementation)
  • Autonomous and proactive.
  • Exceptional ability to remain calm under stress.
