AUDIO & VIDEO SystemsReports to:Head Of ProjectsDepartment:ProjectsLocation:DubaiGrade:EJOB PURPOSE:Leading the Technical Aspects of AV infrastructure projects. Assisting project manager, working along with various internal & external project stakeholders in delivering the multiple projects until handover. The AV Engineer is responsible for design review, technical documentations and Testing & Commissioning of Audio, Video SystemsJOB DIMENSIONS:Technical Dimensions:The ideal candidate will possess a complete comprehension & hands-on experience in the field of installing, testing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining AV systems. Skills to check AV systems identify malfunction, trouble shoot and take appropriate action for the rectification of system and equipmentKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Description

• The Testing and commissioning of AV systems
• Attend site surveys along with sales team and suggest the best solution and requirements
• Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and implementations.
• Self-motivated for quick learning of the existing systems.
• Project hand over with all required and relevant documentation like O& M Manuals, Shop Drawings, Zone Charts, other certificates.
• Provide user Training and support to the end users and the designated clients representatives
• Guiding Draftsman for preparing shop drawing, cable routing plan, installation drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedule, etc. as needed for the project.
• Acting as the technical adviser, provide guidance and advice to the installation & commissioning team, subcontractors, and operatives. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
• Assure that the implementation is in-compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Adherence to the Corporate and Project Quality & H&S Management Systems.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and setting up of all Audio Video Systems as per requirement following drawings & schematics.
• Conduct the inspection, repair, and upgrading, planned & reactive maintenance of AUDIO & VIDEO systems.
• Check AV systems: identify malfunction, trouble shoot, first instance diagnosis and take appropriate action for the rectification of system and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.

JOB CONTEXT:AV Engineer works under the guidance of Head of Projects on installations, modification, T&C, additions, maintenance, and/or repair of AV System, associated materials and equipment on any type of project.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Degree or equivalent (engineering/IT).
• Proficiency in Widows Based PC environment & AutoCAD Minimum Experience:
• 5+ years of directly related experience as an AV Engineer. Job-Specific Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience in installation, configuration and commissioning of AV Systems, including Speakers, Amplifiers, Projection system, Direct LED Displays, Video Wall, Control Systems , Autiomation System. Have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate clear understanding of AUDIO & VIDEO systems installation methods and best practices.
• Knowledge of various components and sub-components of AUDIO & VIDEO System, especially Extron, Crestron, AMX, BIAMP etc.
• Detailed working Knowledge and experience of Operations and Maintenance of AUDIO & VIDEO system?s
• Fault Finding & troubleshooting skills in AUDIO & VIDEO System.
• General knowledge and experience of Electrical Safety Rules and procedures.
• The ability to accurately read and interpret drawings & schematics.
• Experience with other technology systems such as Structure cabling & CCTV a plus.
• Manufacturer technical training/certifications on AUDIO & VIDEO System a plus.
• Crestron, Extron, AMX, BOSE, BIAMP programming skills a plus.

Behavioural Competencies :

• Ability to work extended hours (overtime/weekends) as needed.
• Ability to be scheduled for on-call status if or as needed.
• Has UAE driving license
• Position may require daily travel to worksites and employees must have the ability to independently get to worksites.
• Provide professional and courtesy interaction with customer. ? Ability to work on own initiative and or as part of a team
