Job Description

This position manages the Accounts Payable cycle and ensures timely payment to suppliers, follow up on queries, resolution of system issues, VAT compliance, and cash flow forecasting.The ? Job scope includes:

  • Ensure VAT is correctly charged as per FTA guidelines, as well as handle all queries regarding VAT.
  • Prepare weekly and Adhoc payment plans and assist with cash forecasting reports.
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers & internal departments to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.
  • Manage I-supplier function in Fusion to accelerate the digital invoicing process.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure a smooth transition with new IT system changes/updates.
  • Monitor the payment cycle vs contractual obligations and flag/identify causes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensures invoices are processed on time, efficiently and with the correct codes
  • Reconcile invoices with supplier statements of account on a regular basis and follow up on variances.
  • Regular review of GRNI account (Goods Receive Not Invoiced) for long-standing balances.
  • Manage the auto batch payment process on a timely basis.
  • Perform month end activity, including preparation of the month-end reporting pack.
As an ideal candidate, you will need to have:?
  • Higher Secondary or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in an accounting-related field
  • Experience working with an ERP application and high attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure?
