Employment: Full Time Position Title:Head of LibraryEmployment Type:Full timeSalary:Depending on experience and qualificationsJob Location:Sharjah, UAEAbout the client:The hiring company is a well-known university college that offers various programs in Business and Information Technology through their School of Business & School of Information Technology which are fully approved and accredited by the Ministry of Education in UAEJob Role:Develops and updates department policies and procedures; provides training to new staff in library procedures (circulation duties, shelving, and patron assistance)Manages the fiscal responsibilities for library operations, including budget preparation, purchase orders, file maintenance, approval of expenditures, report reconciliationWeekly, monthly, semester and annual report preparation and submitting to managementSupervise all the operational responsibilities of the Library staff and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Library DepartmentMaintains and updates the databases with new arrivals of books / records / documents etc.Assesses library services and activities including collection for relevance to curriculum; sorts and deletes or retains collection with the suggestion of HOA & DeanManages collection development including reviewing requests and publisher catalogs, soliciting inputs from faculty and staff in ordering new materials REQUIREMENTS: REQUIREMENTS:Open to Arabic nationalsMale/Female, 50 years old and belowBachelor or Masters degree in Library Studies and Information Sciences or any related coursesAt least 7 to 10 years of experience in managing a busy libraryExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be computer literate and well versed with latest developments in library technology Candidates who can join immediately will be prioritized
