Job Description

Your future role & Job Purpose: We are looking to hire Trade Compliance Specialist, who will be responsible for but not limited to:The trade compliance specialist will be responsible to ensure the import/export materials comply with International and Saudi regulations. In addition, the trade compliance will manage the custom clearance contract and monitor the performance of the custom broker.Key Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to IMI policies and safety standards.
  • Study the requirements of importing the materials according to HS code / type of commodity/ International and Saudi regulations and update the purchasing team with the same.
  • Be up to date with all the International and Saudi regulations and ensure materials importrequirements are always aligned with latest International and Saudi regulations.
  • Work with the purchasing team to manage the flow of the required documents for customclearance.
  • Receive, verify, and process the custom clearance invoices in the ERP system.
  • Manage the custom clearance operation include sending the required documents to custom broker and follow upwith the custom broker to ensure on time clearance for the material.
  • Manage the KPI for the custom broker and report any failure in custom clearance performance.
  • Manage and update the required information in SABER system.
  • Arrange to get SASO certificate and process the same in SABER system.
  • Manage the import duty exemption include applying in timely manner ensuring granting theduty emption for the import materials prior to materials arrival.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team the loading of materials from port/airport by sharing the customer operationplan and keeping the logistics team closely updated with the custom clearance operation.
  • Liaise with the finance for timely payment for import materials taxation.
Who we are looking for:
  • Minimum of bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5/+ years of experience in related job?s role.
  • Proven record in managing and handling the customclearance operation of different types such as container, bulk,break bulk, LCL, sea, air and land.
  • knowledge in Saudi custom system and requirements such asSABER &SASO.
  • Experience in dealing and managing third party contract.
Working Relations (Internal Interactions & External Interactions): Working Relations (Internal Interactions):Interact with different stakeholders for materials receive and issue such asquality, operations, logistics, Asset management?etc.Working Relations (External Interactions):will work with the warehousing third party service provider who will beoperating IMI warehouses.
