The Special Education Needs Teacher is responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs by developing and implementing tailored educational programs. This role involves assessing students’ abilities, adapting teaching methods, collaborating with parents and professionals, and fostering an inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:Assess and identify students’ special educational needs through observation and evaluationDevelop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and challengesAdapt and deliver curriculum content using differentiated teaching methodsProvide one-on-one or small group instruction to support learning objectivesMonitor and document students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordinglyCollaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate supportCommunicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and needsCreate a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentAttend training and professional development sessions to stay updated on SEN best practicesEnsure compliance with legal and school policies related to special educationQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related fieldTeaching certification with specialization in Special Education preferredExperience working with children with special needs in an educational settingKnowledge of various disabilities and learning difficultiesStrong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and behavioral management
