Senior AccountantDEPARTMENTGNIC (Global Netback Inter Company) Netback department is responsible and takes care of the financial and non-financial activities related to Netback finance process. The process is unique to SABIC, where HQ buys goods from its Affiliates based on the concept of ?provisional purchase price? (PPP), not redefined transfer price. SABIC HQ has a widespread global network of 15 Resellers, to manage Sales and Distribution and charge a percentage Marketing fee to Affiliates Inter Company = to secure and safeguard financial transactions in time and quality across multiple legal entities within the same parent business. GNIC inclusive managers have actual 47 employees. The senior accountant will report to Manager GNIC Netback ROW.JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES* Ensure that accounting and reporting of all netback activities is complete, correct and timely, that subledgers and general ledger are in accordance with SABIC accounting policies and with procedures and accounting standards. * Ensure there is an uninterrupted import business process to guarantee complete and correct financial settlement. * Safeguard and secure the weekly payment Europe to SABIC HQ accordingly the requirements in the applicable reseller agreement * Analysing, identifying root causes, advice and implement agreed corrective actions related to mismatches between KSA and SABIC Europe general ledger. * Recognize system problems and initiate actions if differences or SAP system problems occur. * Secure the day to day process will run uninterrupted and the month, quarter and year end closing process will be performed in time and on quality. * Participate as subject matter expert in projects to further improve transperancy, quality and reliability of the financial and logistical data in a complex systems environment. Examples are: Automation RoW sales scenario together with KSA departments and Automation Rebate settlement Europe to KSA * Perform monthly / quarterly Intercompany reconciliation, identifing and solving root causes for non-reconciled items. * Responsible for up-to-date standard operating procedures for the own work area. * Take care that the interface between SABIC Corporate and SABIC Europe is running smooth for all product deliveries and financial settlements for the KSA import business and Rest of World business (I-doc monitoring). * Provide evidence of completeness of sales and cost of sales to external auditors of KSA affiliates for import business. * Identify improvement area?s and discuss them in team meetings. * AO/IC monitoring. * Initiation, development and delivery of financial steering information (reporting on financials and non financials, KPI reporting) to the relevant SABIC Europe and KSA management and other stakeholders. * Analysis of cost and revenue developments is carried out correctly and timely. * Being the focal point and trouble-shooter for netback related issues for KSA stakeholdersMINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* HBO+ business economics * SABIC Introduction * Basic leadership courses * SAP knowledge (FI, CO, SD, MM, IM), SABIC Europe as well as SABIC KSA * Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) * Good knowledge of Excel macro?s. * Knowledge of business processes is an must because of the tight,dedicated and sensitive relation of commercial and KSA-HQ settlement. * This reflects the need of excellent understanding of the netback order to cash sales scenarios. * Also the Purchase to Pay scenarios should be know very well because of the different netback material movements KSA to Europe and the usage of the direct and indirect cost allocation methods of import business. * English should be on a good level, verbal and written * Knowledge of standard accounting practices * IFRS knowledge * Proactive and dynamic approach towards stakeholders * Experience with working in an global ( virtual ) environment * Good analytical and interpersonal skills * 5 Years of relevant experience in a finance and control positionFURTHER INFORMATIONPlease apply online by sending us your CV and motivation letter in English.
