Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Power System Analysis SpecialistCompany: JABCOLocation: Saudi ArabiaWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at JABCO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power System Analysis Studies, a deep understanding of relevant standards, and proven experience using ETAP in the industrial and construction sector.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Power System Analysis Studies Utilizing ETAP to perform:
  1. Load flow analysis.
  2. Short circuit analysis
  3. Capacitors banks placement and Power factor correction.
  4. Protection coordination.
  5. Arc flash analysis (AC & DC)
  6. Transformers, cables & battery sizing
  7. Motor acceleration analysis (individual, group, and dynamic),
  8. Transient stability analysis
  9. Harmonics load flow & harmonic filters sizing.
  10. Photovoltaic array
  11. Ground Grid Analysis
  • Ensure accurate modeling and simulation of electrical networks to assess reliability and efficiency.
  • Apply knowledge of standards such as IEEE 141 (Red Book), IEEE 1584 for arc-flash hazard calculations, IEEE 421.5 for transient stability analysis, IEEE 519 for harmonic control in power systems.
  • Familiarity with standards applicable to the Middle East region, especially Saudi Aramco, SABIC and MAADEN etc.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations for optimizing power systems based on study results.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality and reliable power system solutions.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to electrical engineering projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices related to electrical power systems.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.Proven experience in Power System Analysis Studies, with a focus on system modeling and simulation using ETAP.In-depth knowledge of relevant international standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, ANSI) and Saudi Aramco and SABIC for power system analysis.Experience working on projects in the Middle East, particularly with Saudi Aramco and SABIC Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Familiarity with other power system analysis tools.Experience in Oil/Gas and Petrochemicals.How to Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter to [Confidential Information].
