Working across the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia, GMG has introduced more than 120 brands into its markets.About the Role:Plan, direct, or coordinate the transportation operations within an organization or the activities of organizations that provide transportation services.Responsibilities:TransportManage the transportation of goods and supplies for a large organization using existing procedures; review and recommend improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.InventoryLead the design, development, and delivery of the organizations inventory strategy and program to secure supplies and to minimize cost.Outgoing goodsDevelop and implement a packaging plan for a range of business-critical products and services in accordance with packaging regulations.Incoming GoodsLead and manage large complex warehouse(s) and stores, reviewing current procedures and develop new procedures when required to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.SourcingCollect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for business-critical risk area(s) with few alternatives/high costs of changing, in consultation with relevant functions to provide solid market information for decision making.Operations ManagementManage a significant operational area for the organization.Leadership and DirectionIdentify and communicate the actions needed to implement the functions strategy and business plan within the business area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organizations mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.Functional Strategy FormationContribute to the formation of a key element of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.Performance ManagementManage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.BudgetingDevelop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.Stakeholder EngagementDevelop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.Organizational Capability BuildingUse the organizations formal development framework to identify the teams individual development needs.
