Job Description

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXTThis job is found in WFP Yemen, Sanaa. The job holders typically report to a Programme Policy Officer or the designate.At this level, job holders are responsible for the completion of a range of specialized and/or standardized processes and activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines and practices. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff. They work under minimum supervision, perform basic analyses and compile reports to support information consistency and smooth implementation of programmes/projects.Assisting 91.4 million people in around 83 countries each year, the World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving Lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.In 2019, WFP is scaling up its Yemen operations aiming to provide 12 million people with monthly food assistance through direct food distributions, vouchers or cash and nutritional support to nearly 3 million pregnant and nursing women and children under 5.JOB PURPOSEAll cooperating partners distribution reports (CPDRs) require thorough review and reconciliation against internal plans to be cleared. They are reports on activities conducted by WFP partners in charge of implementing WFP activities in the field. The responsibility to manage the CPDRs clearance/reconciliation process falls on the monitoring and evaluation unit.?KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Provide support for ad-hoc analysis of dispatches, deliveries, distributions and other output data as may be needed by management, programme unit, area offices and other peer functions.
  2. Verify the planned movements and distributions of food or non-food items, reporting issues or discrepancies to the supervisors for timely resolution of problems and to ensure that the quantities distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP corporate standards.
  3. Collate assistance programme(s) data in accordance with clear direction, in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
  4. Maintain track of all cleared/uncleared CPDRs and regularly update the CPDRs tracker on WFP share point.
  5. Regularly follow up with all relevant focal points at area offices, country office and/or with partners to gather required information relevant the clearances of submitted CPDRs seek feedback on the reporting templates and clearance procedures and provide technical advice and support when needed.
  6. Support the quarterly process of reconciling distribution data captured in the monitoring and evaluation system COMET against dispatch/delivery data captured in the supply chain system LESS.
  7. Support the development and update of relevant reporting templates and provide constructive feedback on how to improve the related procedures
  8. Organize relevant trainings to partners and WFP staff when required.
  9. Conduct refresher trainings and orientations on any updates in the reporting templates or clearance procedures to relevant focal points.
  10. Perform any other task as required??
