Job Description

Reports to: Restaurant ManagerSummary: We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join our team. The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and are seated promptly. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Guest Reception:

  • Greet guests as they enter the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Provide guests with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods.
  • Help guests to find their assigned tables and provide menus.
  • Ensure special seating requests are accommodated when possible.
Reservations Management:
  • Manage and maintain the reservation system, taking bookings over the phone and online.
  • Confirm reservations and update the reservation system with guest details.
Seating Management:
  • Organize seating arrangements to maximize restaurant capacity and minimize wait times.
  • Coordinate with servers to ensure efficient table turnover.
Communication:
  • Communicate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure guests needs are met.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
Operational Support:
  • Maintain a clean and organized hostess area.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of guest numbers, reservations, and special requests.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required by the restaurant manager
