Warehouses Manager

Job Description

The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, manage, control, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for managing the warehousing i.e. physical stock keeping and management of goods on behalf of the client/ multiple clients of MLC as per requirement.Description:Warehouse Operations- Liaise with a logistics provider for material delivery at the warehouse.- Organize unloading and in warding of material, inspection and counting, binning in locations.- Store All material in an organized manner.- Maintain service levels in receipt to put away.- Notify the procurement team when action from the supplier is required.- Take immediate action for claiming receipt shortages and transit damages.- Manage inventory accuracy by periodic perpetual counting and product loss control. Ensure action for damaged goods or wrong receipts in coordination with the claims team.- Maintain proper inventory procedures and ensure timely system transactions are being performed by the staff.- Ensure proper storage of core and warranty materialManage the issuing of material through the correct process using proper documentation. Quick and efficient dispatches to Service, Retail and?Wholesale requirements. Well planned and timely dispatches to the other locations by distribution vans.- Develop and enhance process workflows, evaluate and make recommendations for system improvements.- Ensure that all proper measures for safety and security are adhered to. Proper understanding and providing services to match the customers business requirements. Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed within agreed guidelines. Document any process deviations and record with adequate approval signatures.- Interaction with Customers, Procurement team, Claims Team, Audit team, HR, Logistics providers, Facilities, and equipment maintenance teams. Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members. Schedule manpower to meet the demands of the warehouse. Behavior mentoring, conflict resolutions, and coaching for improved performance and excellent customer service.- Manage warehouses in compliance with the company?s policies and vision.- Setting up layouts and ensure efficient space utilizationAdhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise resultsReceive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.Policies & Procedures:- Create processes, policies, and procedures for effective management of the Function and submit them to top management for review.- coordinate and enforce the optimal operational policies and procedures.Budgeting & Cost Control:- Prepare annual budget.- Formulate, develop and gain approval for a budget that is aligned with the groups strategic goals.Health & Safety:- Ensures adherence to safety standards and coordinates with Quality Control and Safety functions.- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse with regular audits. Maintain bins, racks, computers and peripherals, warehouse infrastructure, forklifts, vehicles, and all other equipment in excellent condition.- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.Team Management:- Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective application of the group?s performance and development review process.- Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees.- Select, develop and coach the team to meet or exceed the specific targets for continuous improvement.?Customer Relations:- Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with existing and new clients.- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.Business Development:- Ability to identify consumer insights, business & other technical opportunities (R&D, innovations at suppliers...), define innovation strategies and concepts, transform them into initiatives, and achieve their implementation.
