Job Description

Overview: Join our dynamic team as an Estimator, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company?s profitability by collaborating with the Pricing Manager and unit staff to meticulously plan and budget project costs. Your expertise in estimating will ensure that our projects are not only delivered on time but also aligned with our profit goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning & Analysis: Support the Pricing Manager and unit staff in assessing job and resource requirements for various projects, ensuring accurate estimates that consider all elements, including drafting, materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Quotation Drafting: Prepare initial project quotations by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all proposals.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage project timelines to guarantee completion within planned deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales consultants to understand project requirements and engage with other departments and clients to resolve budgeting issues and secure the best estimates.
  • Problem Solving: In the event of discrepancies or emergencies regarding estimates, proactively consult with supervisors in related fields to obtain accurate information.
  • Research & Resource Optimization: Utilize online resources to identify services beneficial for project administration and maintain updated lists of raw materials and their prices.
  • Cost Reduction: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality, ensuring the company?s profitability.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation related to time, labor, machinery, and materials for accurate estimates.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a wooden factory or joinery setting, with a strong understanding of cost estimation processes.
