Tax Operations, Treasury& Corporate Finance Manager346334BR Tax Operations, Treasury& Corporate Finance Manager Job Purpose : ? The Tax Operations & Treasury and Corporate Finance Manager supports the Novartis Group Saudi entities on all operational Corporate Taxes and Indirect Taxes related matters, is responsible for tax compliance and manages the relationships with Saudi Tax authorities (ZATCA) for any tax related requisition ? In alignment with the CCFO, leads and coordinates the Corporate Finance activities related to the Country and act as a single point of contact with group finance functions, i.e., Treasury, Tax, and Fund Flow. ? Liaising with the CCFO, defines financial and operational risk exposure limits and risk reduction measures for the company in line with the Novartis Group Treasury Policies, ensuring its compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations of both company and statutory and that its financial risk exposures are within the defined risk limit. ? Manages the overall business model of the local legal entity with Novartis Pharma AG and all related intercompany agreements and relationship with the support of the CCFO. Major Accountabilities: 1. Overall Taxes ? Management and ownership of all Operational Tax activities in KSA ? Ensures processes are in place for preparation, filing and archiving of all tax related documents, including statutory accounts, income tax and VAT returns to execute CCFO?s Country Tax accountability ? Transfer pricing documentation, assessments, tax calculations, audit and litigation files and other tax relevant documents ? Management of data provision for Transfer Pricing documentation, including liaison with Country Finance organization 2. Compliance & Risk ? Ensure accurate quarterly, monthly & annual filing and governing system configuration to ensure correct coding and tax calculation ? Ensure availability of financial data & documentation (e.g. statutory accounts, intercompany-agreements ? Support the CCFO, the Head of Tax Operations MEA and the Head of Corporate Tax MENA in managing the tax audits, in close alignment with Group Tax Transfer Pricing and/or external consultants, identifying and communicating, in collaboration with Country Finance organizations, potential tax exposures and aligning settlements with Group Tax 3. Financial Compliance and Governance: ? Local legal entity financial compliance governance & management ? Local contact for statutory audits ? Local management of statutory tasks as required in collaboration with CCFO, R2R and NGSC ? Shareholder resolutions e.g., General Assembly Meetings (GAM), and dividend distributions ? Inter Company Agreements Management 4. Treasury: ? External liaison with banks ? Main contact for Group Treasury ? Central bank reporting or similar reports ? Local bank guarantees managements ? FX management ? Exposure management in collaboration with CCFO, O2C and Group credit management. 5. Others: ? Legal entity restructurings, divestments, acquisitions, ? Profitability management, Fund Flow contact ? Experience: (5 ? 7 years) finance experience across Tax and Financial reporting and accounting; ? Experience in managing relationships with tax authorities and multiple senior stakeholder requirements; ? Experience in operating tax reporting, planning and control systems.
