Job Description

  • Conduct topographic surveys to determine elevations and contours of the land.
  • Establish control points and benchmarks for reference.
  • Measure distances, angles, and elevations using surveying equipment.
  • Collect data on existing structures and utilities.
  • Transfer design plans and specifications to the construction site.
  • Set out building lines, elevations, and grades.
  • Verify the accuracy of construction work in progress.
  • Resolve surveying issues that arise during construction.
  • Record survey data accurately and completely.
  • Process and analyze survey data using specialized software.
  • Prepare maps, plans, and reports based on survey data.
  • Operate surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and levels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment.
