Job Description

Activities, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Procurement:
  • ˙Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials or services.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring and controlling inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess, an ensuring efficient use of storage space.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Planning and optimizing the movement of goods, selecting carriers, and managing transportation costs.
  • Distribution:
  • Overseeing the distribution network to ensure timely delivery of products to customers or site engineers and project managers.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and implementing strategies to mitigate them, such as having contingency plans for disruptions.
  • ˙Collaboration: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis:
  • ˙Utilizing data and analytics to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain processes.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensuring that all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Communication:
  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders to keep them informed of supply chain activities, changes, and challenges.
  • ˙Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of improvement and hard work.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for the team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team in procurement, logistics and warehouse, and ensuring they stay updated with the latest supply chain regulations.
  • Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze supply chain reports, providing senior management with insights into performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • ˙Generate regular update reports showing the procurement status for each project. The report shall identify areas of improvement, and the challenges being faced in the implementation of the supply chain cycle
