The Staff Nurse provides and coordinates patient care utilizing the nursing? process. Care is delivered using a family/patient-centered approach and is guided? by the AlDara Professional Practice Model. The Staff Nurse adheres to AlDaras mission,? vision and values and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the?? highest quality of patient care. S/he practices in accordance with the Codes of? Ethics of the Ministry of Health and of the International Council of Nurses (ICN);? core standards of care of designated work area; and AlDara policies and? procedures. Is accountable for scope of clinical practice, escalating to manager? matters that are outside own control or competence.?
Key Accountabilities:1. Patient Care:
Delivery of high quality patient care through implementation of the nursing? process including assessment of patient needs (physical and psychosocial),? coordination of interdisciplinary care activities, and evaluation of patient? progress??

2. Administration:
Document patient care by documenting in the medical record
Is able to competently supervise the work of Nursing Support Staff, students? and newly hired nursing staff.??
Maintain patient privacy and dignity, and protect patient data by keeping? patient and other applicable data confidential??
Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance? requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting? malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories;? evaluating new equipment and techniques??
Assure quality of care by adhering to evidence-based nursing and practice? standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following? hospital and nursing divisions philosophies and standards of care set by the? Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and Ministry of Health? (MOH)??
Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by? communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport;? participating in team problem-solving methods??
Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory? level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for? supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as? needed to accomplish job results
