Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available forProcurement Specialist I, CM -Service & Project -BusinessReports toSection Head, Bus & Logistics Procurementlocated inRiyadh Job purpose:The primary functions of the Specialist Buyer role are to source the materials and services and to ensure POs fulfilments in line with the defined procedures and to support strategic sourcing activities for assigned spend categories as determined by the Category Manager. The Specialist Buyer will contribute to ensure that the procurement for the Company is with competitive rates and aligned with the desired timeframe, as per TASNEE quality standards.Role responsibilities:

  • Manage low value supplier relationships with supplier customer service representatives
  • Issue purchase orders in line with the defined procedures
  • Maintain ERP master data
  • Monitor deliveries for assigned responsibility and expedite orders as require
  • Negotiate pricing for low value products and/or services for [area] or as assigned by line manager
  • Provide input into supplier selection decisions
  • Identify alternative suppliers as required to meet business requirements (delivery)
  • Monitor continuous improvement (supplier quality/service/cost effectiveness) for services and projects.
  • Support the Category Manager in the management of the assigned categories and the delivery of sourcing projects with associated savings and other benefits
  • Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies for assigned (sub)categories, primarily through the gathering and analysis of relevant category data
  • Take ownership of elements of the sourcing process, under the guidance of the Category Manager. This may include identification of potential suppliers, market research, production of tender documentation, management of RFx timelines, supplier evaluation, and support of negotiations
  • Ensure continuous development of both personal expertise and professional acumen, and proactively contribute to building Tasnee COE through sharing category intelligence and other intellectual capital where relevant
  • Manage the relationship and communications with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels as part of sourcing processes, for example scheduling of supplier negotiation meetings, etc.
  • Support organisation-wide procedures for governance, risk and compliance management that manage, mitigate, and minimise risks to Tasnee and its clients and partners
  • As directed by the Line Manager, manage engagement with the business and/or service functions to plan and support procurement activity, supplier relationship and performance management and contract management
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support and undertake any other duties according to the needs of the procurement function, including management and delivery of strategic sourcing and analytics work as required. For example, the jobholder may be required to support sourcing activities in categories outside of those to which he/she is assigned
  • Ensure sufficient utilisation of the technological solutions available, and proactively share improvement opportunities on the digital infrastructure where relevant
  • Conduct spends analysis and performance reporting where required, including reporting on compliance to all applicable policies and procedures
  • Complete the assigned training courses and ensure adherence to the assigned learning/ career development pathway
  • Ensure full compliance to all relevant Tasnee governance documents, including but not limited to, policies, procedures, code of ethics/ conduct, etc
Qualification and Requirements:
  • B.S Degree with relevant experience
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Procurement [TBC based on level ? higher qualification may balance out experience requirements]
  • Relevant Affiliations and Accreditation [CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, etc]
  • Experience in Buying and in conducting procurement activities
  • Experience with SAP?s procurement functions
  • Experience in running spend analytics
  • Experience in developing and executing category strategies, negotiation strategies, contract and supplier management
  • Experience in managing an indirect category
Experience in minimizing supply risks and responding to supply chain interruptions
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills
