POSITION ÿSUMMARY:ÿThe System Administrator ÿis responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance ÿof systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.Ensures that system hardware, operating ÿsystems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational ÿstandards and adhere to business rules.ÿPRINCIPAL ÿRESPONSIBILITIES:ÿ?Install new I rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance ÿwith standards and project/operational requirements.?ÿInstall and configure systems such as supports software applications or Asset Management ÿapplications.?ÿDevelop and maintain installation and configuration ÿprocedures.?ÿContribute to and maintain system standards.?ÿPerform daily system monitoring, ÿverifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application ÿlogs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.?ÿPerform regular security monitoring ÿto identify any possible intrusions.?ÿPerform daily backup operations, ÿensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate ÿmedia, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.?ÿPerform regular file archival and purge as necessary.?ÿCreate, change, and delete user accounts per request.?ÿRepair and recover from hardware or software failures.?ÿApply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative ÿtools and utilities.Configure I add new services as necessary.?ÿMaintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.?ÿPerform periodic performance ÿreporting to support capacity planning.?ÿPerform ongoing ÿperformance ÿtuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization ÿas required. ÿConfigure ÿCPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.?ÿMaintain data center environmental ÿand monitoring equipment.ÿ
