Job Description

Our client are a global?engineering consultancy providing consultancy services on the worlds largest and most iconic energy, water and infrastructure projects. They are looking for a Senior Power System Engineer for their office in Riyadh.You will be responsible for:

  • You will be in charge of executing the power system operations and operational planning studies (electricity generation, transmission, distribution and industrial) using dedicated software
  • Your role in the power system study could vary between in function of the projects:
    • Project Manager
    • Expert/ project engineer
  • You are part of the front line for our Middle East projects and have direct contacts with our client
  • You can be detached to one of our clients for medium term assignment in the GCC region
  • You take part to the definition of the project methodology and man/hour estimates during proposal preparation
  • You develop innovative concepts regarding design and operation, incorporating new technologies and addressing the new economic context
  • You work in close collaboration with the Power System Consulting team which involves 60 power system experts located in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Germany and mainly in the head office in Europe
Core Competencies
  • Experience in operations and operational planning of electrical network
  • Experience in system stability and dynamic studies and good knowledge of power system studies methodologies in general
  • Experience in business development and commercial activities
Key Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years experience as Electrical Engineer specialized in power system studies
  • Excellent knowledge of the PSS/E and Digsilent simulation software
  • Willing to accept short or medium term assignments abroad
  • Dynamic, creative and autonomous professional
  • Experience of scientific software development is an asset
  • Experience in SCADA/EMS is an asset
  • Fluent in Arabic is an asset
