Roles & Responsibilities Perform and coordinate the collection, verification, and integration of plumbing work scope into the overall project plan. Prepare quality plumbing shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built documentation for construction and handover. Perform design validation, design verification, and drawing reviews with consultants and obtain approvals. Design, analyze, and coordinate safe, efficient, and code-compliant plumbing systems. Perform detailed hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing. Design and develop: Domestic Cold & Hot Water Distribution Systems Sanitary Drainage & Vent Systems Stormwater Drainage Systems Rainwater Harvesting Systems Sewage Collection & Lifting Systems Water Storage Tanks Booster Pump Systems Transfer Pump Systems Select and size plumbing equipment including pumps, water heaters, valves, accessories, and related equipment. Prepare plumbing layouts, riser diagrams, schematics, and isometric drawings. Review and approve plumbing drawings, BIM models, and shop drawings. Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection disciplines. Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, applicable plumbing codes, and authority requirements. Develop and coordinate detailed BIM models from LOD 300 to LOD 400. Use Navisworks for clash detection and resolve design conflicts at early stages of construction. Participate in design reviews and client meetings. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. Extract BOQs, schedules, and technical data from BIM models to support project planning and execution. Support timely project delivery while maintaining design quality and coordination standards. IPC ? International Plumbing Code UPC ? Uniform Plumbing Code IPC/UPC Commentary NFPA, where plumbing interfaces with fire protection Local municipality and utility authority requirements Applicable project specifications and plumbing standardsDesired Candidate Profile BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 8?10 years of relevant experience in Plumbing Design Engineering, with strong exposure to plumbing system design, hydraulic calculations, BIM coordination, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction projects. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in plumbing design and engineering, with the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, contractors, and other MEP disciplines. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, LOD 300?400 BIM modelling, hydraulic calculations, shop drawings, and plumbing equipment selection will be highly relevant.
