ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Requirements Development
Gather business requirements and also share inputs in order to facilitate the development of networks high level designs
Prepare the high level network design jointly with the supervisor
Develop solutions based on requirements from Enterprise Architecture team and discuss with the relevant stakeholders and take inputs on the solution
Infrastructure Design and Testing
Translate high level designs into low level designs and share with the supervisor for review
Design IP addressing schemes, VLANs, Routing based on requirements to ensure efficient network
Work with relevant infrastructure teams to identify major technical gaps and help design solutions to resolve.
Provide realistic/ feasible timelines for all network development in line with customer requirements
Maintain and update IP/VLAN Address Book
Create, oversee, audit and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Maintain complete technical documentation of network up-to-date
Develop UAT plans including resources needed for UAT, entry and exit criteria for UAT and develop test cases
Distribute test cases to the relevant testers and monitor progress
Review the UAT defects and prioritize the defects and work towards resolution
Technology and Vendor Management
Draft RFPs based on defined technical requirements and support the manager ? networks to identify the required solution
Study the market and identify relevant vendors as per required specifications and prepare comparison for the Vendors based on the evaluation criteria
Provide support to vendors in preparing low level designs based on technical requirements
Provide support with networks infrastructure for services and technology implementation on need basis as per the manager ? networks
Level-2 support
Provide wireless and network connectivity and IP telephony for all internal end-users
Investigate level 1 and level 2 tickets and guide network officers in providing support on issues related to routing and switching, and recommend relevant solutions and workarounds regarding networks internally and externally
Work with relevant stakeholders in planning implementation or migration of servers and appliances if required
Support network operations center (NOC) and monitor NOC data at regular intervals to identify trends in any network related issues
