The Senior Manager - Data Architecture will be based in Riyadh.DescriptionThe Senior Manager - Data Architecture will be responsible for:Defining data guidelines and standardsUnderstanding business requirements and developing necessary data architecturesDesigning and implementing data platforms and solutionsWork closely with vendors to evaluate and select technologies/solutions; review technical designs from vendors and challenge where necessaryData modelingData integrationData governance, security and complianceImplementing Big Data technologiesWorking closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Developers to fulfil stakeholder requirementsProfileThe Senior Manager - Data Architecture will be/have:A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field of study8+ years of experience in Data ArchitecturePreviously worked in large, complex organisations with large and complex data setsStrong knowledge of big data frameworks and technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache HBase, Apache Hive and NoSQL databasesTechnical expertise in Data, whilst being able to understand business requirements and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholdersExperience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, for big data processing and storageStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala or JavaExperience in data modeling, data integration and data governanceThe ability to work with vendors and obtain best possible outcomesStrong communication skillsAble to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsRelevant certifications in data technologies (preferred)Based in/willing to relocate to RiyadhJob OfferAn attractive salary along with family benefits will be on offer for the Senior Manager - Data Architecture role.
