Company Overview and Work Nature: A leading construction and contracting company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Lawyer with extensive experience and exceptional qualifications in contractual matters and a strong background in the construction industry to enhance our main office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice, managing contract negotiations, and representing the company in legal issues related to construction projects.Main Responsibilities:Provide specialized legal advice and guidance to senior management regarding contractual, regulatory, and legal issues related to construction projects.Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including contractor agreements, consultancy agreements, joint venture agreements, and supplier contracts.Advise on contractual terms and obligations, compliance, and dispute resolution mechanisms to protect the company's legal and commercial interests.Ensure compliance with Saudi laws and regulations, including labor laws, construction regulations, and corporate laws in all legal documents and transactions.Manage and resolve contractual disputes and claims with clients, consultants, and contractors.Provide legal advice on labor law issues, including employment contracts and labor disputes.Review and assess insurance documents and guarantees related to construction projects.Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the construction industry and ensure timely updates to company policies and contracts.Communicate with external legal consultants and government agencies on behalf of the company.Support project teams and business units in preparing proposals and managing contracts and claims.SkillsQualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited university.Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience as a lawyer with a strong focus on construction contracts and legal issues in the construction industry.Proven experience in working with or providing legal advice to construction companies or engineering firms.Strong background in managing construction disputes and negotiations.Skills and Languages:Languages: Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English (mandatory), with excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting contracts and negotiations.Specialized knowledge in managing construction contracts and analyzing change orders.Strong understanding of Saudi laws (including commercial law, labor law, corporate law, and regulations related to construction).Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.Excellent legal research, drafting, and contract interpretation skills.Personal Attributes:Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing legal documents.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple legal issues simultaneously with a proactive approach to mitigate risks.
