Job Description

Accountability:The Finance Manager is directly accountable to the General Manager.? The Finance Manager will undergo a yearly performance appraisal.Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative:
  1. Manages financial transactions and financial planning.??
  1. Manages disbursement and receipting of all funds for assigned programs.
  1. Assists in formulating and administering approved general accounting practices for company . Assists in comprehensive budget preparations and cost data; develops clear informative methods and media to present financial data, special projects, and studies of a financial nature.
  1. Assists in the directing of the financial forecasting, planning, and budget processes.
  1. Develops and maintains financial and business policies, controls, and reporting procedures.? Ensures that fiscal and business activities comply with Federal and Provincial requirements.
  1. Manages the reporting of financial information from all operations.
  1. Administers the benefits package and pension plan.
  1. Administers all insurance packages pertaining .
  2. Financial and Clerical:
  1. Audit and posts all financial transactions.
  1. Prepares data and assists with the annual audit.
  1. Audit journal entries to record? -Monthly payroll, payroll accounts analysis and reconciliation.
  1. Develops and documents systematic procedures for payroll related tasks.
  1. Pays bills, handles correspondence, and maintains files.
  1. Prepares financial statements, estimates, summaries, and other financial analyses and management reports.
  1. Evaluates financial reporting system and accounting procedures and makes recommendations for changes, to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions to the General Manager.
  1. Maintains accumulated time summary for employees ( i.e. Vacation, sick, and comp. time ).
